ANNUAL BROTHERS' AMATEUR FOURSOMES
Thursday 7th & Friday 8th June 2018
We are very happy to announce that our annual Brothers' Open is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year!
The tournament will be held on Thursday 7th & Friday 8th June and will follow its normal format which consists of:
Thursday am 18 hole foursomes stableford qualifying round (half combined handicaps). This is a shotgun start.
Thursday pm quarter-finals match play knockout (top 8 from qualifier) and the Plate (those placed 9th 16th in qualifier). Handicap allowance is half difference of combined handicaps.
Thursday pm non qualifiers for the match play knockout will have a stableford foursomes event (lower handicap x 0.6 added to the higher handicap x 0.4).
Friday am knockout semi-finals.
Friday am non-qualifiers 9 hole foursomes stableford (half combined handicaps).
Friday pm Match play finals.
Friday pm Non-qualifiers 18 hole foursomes stableford (half combined handicaps). This is a shotgun start.
All entrants are given honorary membership to Chislehurst Golf Club for their practice round and the duration of the competition. One free practice round is available on either Tuesday 5th or Wednesday 6th June (afternoons only) and can be arranged through the Club Office.
Dress code for the competition is smart casual, although brothers co-ordinated outfits are always fantastic to see! All entrants must be the member of a recognised golf club and have a valid handicap. We ask that all players provide a handicap certificate at registration on the first morning. The maximum handicap is 28. Please also note that half brothers and step brothers are not eligible to play.
