Facilities

The Clubhouse at Chislehurst is an imposing 17th century building with high ceilings and a grandeur that makes it a wonderful venue for social events.

Some of the lounges have the original wall paintings and wall coverings of considerable historical interest. The Dining Room retains its original oak panelling. There is a Snooker Room which is available to the Members at all times when the Clubhouse is open.

Three bar areas make obtaining a drink easy, even when the club is really busy. One of the bars is a "Spike" bar, enabling golfers to quench their thirst before changing. A large terrace overlooks the course and enjoys the afternoon and evening sunshine.

Catering facilities are available each day. Sunday Lunches are most popular throughout the year with Members and their guests.

The Bridge Club meets regularly, both during the day and for supper/bridge evenings.

Members may book the Clubhouse facilities, in part or in full, for private functions. These include Weddings, Lunches, Receptions and Dinners.

Chislehurst Golf Club retains a Professional who, together with his staff, manages a shop for the convenience of members and the publics. He and his assistant provide lessons. These are available both to those who have never hit a golf ball before and to those better golfers who wish to improve a particular aspect of their game. Lessons are available to non-members - in fact both the Club and the Professional are keen to encourage people to experience Chislehurst Golf Club.

There is a Captain/Professional Challenge where Members are encouraged to pair up and take on the Captain and the Professional in an 18-hole match. These run throughout the year to enable as many challenges as possible for each Captain during his year of office.

Chislehurst enters teams at all handicap levels to compete in knock-out matches against other local clubs. These matches are highly competitive, regardless of the handicap bracket, and are followed by a convivial dinner at the 'home' venue.
